The Lakewood Board of Education acknowledges the successful passage of the May 8, 2007 bond proposal.

A regular board meeting of the Lakewood Public Schools Board of Education was held on the 14th of May, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mr. David Lind, Board President.

Whereas, the Lakewood Board of Education put together a bond proposal for $29,255,000 to renovate the High School, Clarksville, Sunfield, Woodland and West elementaries. These renovations will address the educational facilities for all of our students. This bond will provide an energy efficient and technological current high school along with equitable elementary buildings.

Whereas,
the bond committee, “Our Youth, Our Future, Our Responsibility” was able to involve hundreds of people in the campaign to support the bond; their dedication and countless hours of work behind the scenes, had a direct impact on the successful vote.

Be it Resolved that the Lakewood Public Schools Board of Education at its May 14, 2007 board meeting does publicly acknowledge the citizens of the Lakewood Public School district for their support of the students of the district.

I, the undersigned, Secretary of the Board of Education, Lakewood Public Schools, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and complete copy of a Resolution adopted by the Board of Education Lake Odessa, Michigan at its regular board meeting held on May 14, 2007, the original of which is part of the Board’s minutes.
