The mission of Lakewood Public Schools Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.

The goals of the media center staff are:

To teach patrons how to use a library and how to find books in a library/media center.
To promote respect of library patrons, property and materials of the library/media center.
To offer positive opportunities to encourage library patrons to read.
To provide a variety of materials to challenge all library patrons within various types of books and readability levels.
