Last night the school community celebrated the distinguished careers and contributions of the first ever Lakewood Hall of Fame inductees: Mr. Mike Winkler; Mr. Ron Martin, and Mr. Bill Eckstrom. These men have achieved the extraordinary and have made an imprint on Lakewood Public Schools, in the lives of students, and their community. They have made their meaningful mark, and their important work will forever be woven into the fabric of Lakewood Public Schools. Their service to our schools and community has enriched our past, present, and future. We were honored to host a full house of guests, some who traveled long distances to be at the celebration. A special thank you to the Hall of Fame Committee, the Board of Education, our student musicians, student council, our food service team for providing the spread, and our maintenance team. Thank you Mr. Larner, for your leadership and for hosting this esteemed event. We visited with old friends, and made some new ones. THIS IS LAKEWOOD.
