Some weeks back we shared the beginning stages of a dream home project in Miss Oosterhouse's art class. Students were challenged to designing and construct their dream home with cardboard and other materials. Their work is now on display in the high school media center. Architectural styles from the clean lines of Frank Lloyd Wright to rustic farmhouse are artistically represented in our students' work. Creative talent, mathematics, architectural research, reading, planning, vision, and resourcefulness were infused into this project based student experience. We are impressed with their work and with Miss Oosterhouse for providing deep learning opportunities through this hands-on, real life challenge.
