This recognition is to honor those who champion for our students, they are the true MVP’s that make Lakewood Public Schools extraordinary. Introducing our first MVP Shelley Homolka, Behavioral Specialist at Lakewood Elementary. Her role is both demanding and vital, and the impact of her dedication is felt daily by students, staff, and families alike. She is truly the cornerstone of social and emotional support for our students. “Despite being pulled in many different directions, she balances responsibilities with remarkable grace and dignity,” said Keith Carpenter, LES Principal. Through her thoughtful development of individual and group behavior plans, she creates pathways to success that empower students while equipping staff with the tools and confidence they need to support them effectively. This work builds lasting skills that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Shelley’s calm calm presence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment serve as a model for all of us.
