    COVID-19 DASHBOARD

    To protect the health of our School Community and per the Emergency Order issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Reporting of Confirmed and Probable Cases of COVID-19 at Schools on October 6, 2020, The Lakewood Public Schools will use this webpage to provide Public Notice to our School Community regarding School Associated Cases of COVID-19. Within 24 hours of being notified of a School Associated Case by Barry-Eaton, Ionia, or Kent County Health Departments this dashboard will be updated to include new and cumulative COVID-19 case counts. Individuals identified as Close Contacts of School Associated Cases will be notified separately and directly by their local health department.

    In an ongoing effort to keep our community informed about COVID-19, we encourage families to visit the Health Department links and resources on this website. Lakewood Public Schools will be updating info. on our website pages as information becomes available.

     

    HERO PAY - ROUND 2

    The State of Michigan has provided teachers with an opportunity to collect hero pay if they did not qualify for the first round. The qualifying factors are as follows:

    Classroom Teacher

    • Defined as a full-time or part-time GSRP, Head Start, adult education and young adult (ages 18-26) special education teachers who provided continuity of learning to students during the 2019-2020 period of school closure that resulted from COVID-19.

    If you believe you qualify for this opportunity, please complete the grant form at this link and return it to the superintendent no later than 3 p.m. on April 9, 2021.
